Assisted living communities provide the perfect transition to senior living. Here, you’ll find help with the activities of daily living (ADL). ADL lists vary, but they’re often focused on the following areas:
- Personal hygiene (Bathing, grooming, oral, nail, and hair care)
- Continence management (a person’s mental and physical ability to properly use the toilet)
- Assistance with feeding
- Managing medications
To ensure necessary independence and gracefully support the aging process, our on-site staff provides round-the-clock care that focuses on our residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
Assisted living staff are also happy to prepare home-cooked meals according to a customized menu that caters to any of your requests or dietary restrictions. Laundry and housekeeping services and routine assistance with other daily chores are also included at Premiere Cottages so that residents can enjoy a sense of independence in their spare time.
Beyond those basic needs, residents also have reliable access to transportation. Staff members are happy to move and escort residents safely throughout the community. This makes going to the doctor, taking care of basic errands, and calling on nearby friends and family an easy part of residents’ daily routine. It’s also easy for residents to receive social visits from friends or family or visits from doctors, therapists, or other medical professionals.
At Premiere Cottages, residents can enjoy a full social life that encourages them to remain physically and mentally active. There are plenty of planned recreational activities designed to meet residents’ social needs and reinforce a strong sense of shared community within each dwelling.
Social coordinators regularly schedule outings for residents to shop, dine and visit local attractions when possible. In addition, the social calendar may include other entertainment and education opportunities that vary from month to month to ensure that our residents experience the highest quality of life in a safe, comfortable, home-like environment.
